Job Description  

  • Lead the technology departments, set performance goals/KPIs and enhance our products’ software architecture design.

Your profile: 

  • 7+ years acting as a Technical Leader or Architect in cutting edge technologies, especially cloud computing and data science applications, in client-facing products. 
  • PhD or MSc in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or Machine Learning or any other related field. 
  • Outstanding expertise in either software engineering or data analysis. Strong expertise in data analytics, machine learning, AI, programming, software architecture design, cloud-based infrastructure configuration. 
  • Excellent knowledge of the R&D cycle, especially in software and life science companies. 
  • Expertise in leading technical engineering and data science teams. 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. 
  • Leadership experience in established scalable product startups that scaled to mid-sized companies is a plus. 
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics and/or biology is a plus.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Develop, maintain and update ETL catalog 
  • Build, maintain and update repeatable and trackable data pipelines

Role Description: 

We are currently seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer to join our Engineering team in Thessaloniki. The successful candidate should have expertise in system administration, automation, and continuous integration. We are less interested in prior experience and more in work ethic, commitment, and talent. As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will participate in building  the infrastructure that will host the platform and the products that will serve our clients and report to the Engineering Manager. You will be joining a talented team of Engineers, Data Scientists, and Bioinformaticians working on state-of-the-art technology products and solutions. 


Role Responsibilities 

  • Provision infrastructure that will host our products 
  • Deploy increments to our products in the target infrastructure 
  • Automate building and releasing enabling CI/CD 
  • Guarantee health status of the products by monitoring the underlying infrastructure 
  • Participate in architectural decisions regarding our micro-service architecture. 
  • Participate in our Agile processes like planning and daily stand-up meetings. 
  • Construct and sustain operationally secure environments that support our clients’ solutions. 
  • Uphold the responsibility to protect the integrity, discretion, and availability of information associated with the organization. 
  • Implement strong security policy and practices, as well as train the Engineering and Data Science teams to implement these in a continuous effort to secure the company’s infrastructure and client’s data. 


Required Qualifications 

  • 5+ years of professional experience in creating, deploying and automating infrastructure and software 
  • Work experience in large scale systems 
  • Strong experience provisioning, managing and monitoring microservice architectures. 
  • Strong knowledge of networking and security. 
  • Strong experience working with cloud platforms (ideally Azure) 
  • Strong experience composing build and release pipelines 
  • Experience with either Kubernetes or OpenShift. 
  • Experience in configuration management using Ansible or similar tools. 
  • Experience with Python and automation 
  • Experience with Git. 
  • Experience following an Infrastructure as Code fashion 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication in English. 

 

Nice to have: 

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any other related field  
  • Experience in Systems Design 
  • Experience with Python web frameworks (Django and Flask) 
  • Familiarity working in agile environments.

You will also be responsible for reviewing system requirements and track quality assurance metrics (e.g., defect densities and open defect counts). Role Responsibilities 

  • Develop and maintain detailed, comprehensive and well-structured quality plans and test cases  
  • Ensure the quality of our products by identifying and resolving issues in a timely manner 
  • Prioritize and plan testing activities in collaboration with the rest of the team 
  • Contribute in improving our QA footprint, automation efforts and internal processes

  • Proven work experience (5+ years) as Software Engineer in Test, QA Engineer or any other related role

  • Work experience with Python  
  • Hands-on experience with Git

Required Qualifications: 

  • MS/BS degree in Business, Data Science, or equivalent. 
  • Minimum 5+ years of prior experience in Product Management for software products and solutions. 
  • Good technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies. 
  • Proven ability to deliver successful products. 
  • Experience in life science and nutrition is a plus but not required. 
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

Role Responsibilities: 

  • Work with Engineering, Data Science, and Product teams to understand product documentation requirements. 
  • Assist in collecting and organizing information required for preparation of user manuals, training materials, technical manuals, installation guides, release notes, and reports. 
  • Create and/or update technical documentation and manuals including but not limited to data pipelines, APIs, software architecture. 
  • Edit operational descriptions, system specifications, user manuals, special reports, or any other customer deliverables and documents. 
  • Create clear, accurate content that fulfills company standards and product goals. 
  • Write easy-to-understand user tutorials and product UI content. 
  • Review and improve current technical documentation and other internal and client-facing manuals and documentation. 


Role Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field. 
  • Minimum two (2) years of relevant experience in technical writing/software documentation. 
  • Demonstrable experience in writing or editing technical documents for developers or technical audiences. 
  • Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders to define and manage technical terminology and content. 
  • Ability to understand complex information and communicate the information to the user and customer with clarity. 
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
