Job Description:

We are seeking a Linux System Administrator with a strong foundation in Linux system administration, automation, containerization, and scripting. The ideal candidate will have a keen understanding of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals to enhance our infrastructure’s reliability, performance, and security.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain infrastructure automation using Ansible.
• Build and manage containerized applications using Docker or Podman.
• Write and maintain scripts for automation and integration purposes in Bash or Python or Ansible.
• Troubleshoot and optimize Linux-based systems, ensuring efficient logging and monitoring.
• Implement and maintain host security measures, understanding the basics of networking and cybersecurity fundamentals including OpenSCAP, SSL certificates, and single sign-on (SSO) solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless deployment and operation of applications.
• Continuously evaluate and implement new technologies to enhance our infrastructure.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Excellent knowledge of Linux System Administration.
• Proficient in Ansible for automation tasks.
• Experience with container technologies (Docker or Podman).
• Strong scripting skills in Bash or Python.
• Solid understanding of Linux systems (troubleshooting, logging).
• Knowledge of networking fundamentals.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity fundamentals (OpenSCAP, certificates, SSO, etc).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired Knowledge:

• Experience with Elasticsearch, Prometheus, and Grafana is highly desirable.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Relevant certifications in Linux, Ansible, Docker/Podman are a plus.
