Your role

As a Software/Backend engineer, you build highly scalable cloud and web services. You will primarily work on backend solutions, developing real-time services and large-scale data processing. We use modern technologies such as AWS cloud, containers, and object-oriented programming (PHP/Java/Python) and are always looking to improve or expand our existing stack. You will be involved in a variety of tasks, including:

● You design, implement, and test microservices and RESTful APIs in PHP, Python, and Java as part of a more complex cloud infrastructure.

● Oversee backend services end to end, from designing to supporting them in production.

Who you are

● Computer Science or Engineering background.

● Skilled in object-oriented programming.

● You can work in an organized manner.

● Familiar with application frameworks (Symfony, Laravel, FastAPI, Spring, Axon, etc.).

● Having worked in Scrum/Agile environments.

● API development (SOAP/RESTful web services).

Nice to have

● Amazon Web Services, high-availability web applications, and Containers.

● Knowledge of agile methodologies, such as Scrum, and version control systems like Git.

● Familiar with the use of databases (relational and NoSQL databases).

● We mainly use PHP, Python, and Java, but experience with other languages, such as Go, is advantageous.

Your role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Product Data Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for analyzing NET2GRID product feature trends, consumer behavior, and energy AI developments to provide valuable insights and data-driven recommendations. Your analysis and recommendations will directly influence strategic business decisions, help our clients to optimize their products and drive our marketing and sales efforts. The ideal candidate is proficient in data analysis techniques, possesses a strong understanding of market dynamics, and has a passion for translating complex data into actionable insights.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Analyze and keep track of useful energy insights from the extracted anonymized client end-user reports, e.g., energy savings of end-users within a period of time using different product features, in order to provide an overview and the impact of our services through visualizations and graphs that will be used as marketing material, but also to report to shareholders and clients.
  • Analyze and interpret large datasets from various sources to extract meaningful insights and patterns as input to product roadmap discussions.
  • Propose and monitor useful client product & business metrics through time, such as app adoption rate, API calls, etc., to provide useful feedback to clients about which services are mostly used and appreciated by end-users.
  • Develop and maintain product energy insights dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key findings about the product value and metrics to stakeholders and clients.
  • Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams to understand business goals and provide data-driven insights & recommendations from and to product marketing, marketing comms, Ynni Living Labs and sales strategies.
  • Utilize statistical techniques and predictive modeling to forecast market trends, customer behavior, and sales performance.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in market research and data analysis to give meaning to the data insights.
  • Collaborate with client data science & engineering teams to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and availability are met for analysis purposes, and share CI-BI project set up best practices.
  • Coordinate data set analysis to plan pilots with prospects and guide them on the input and output requirements / process.
  • Design and Develop concepts that sit in between standard platform output and client applications to show the afterburner effect of additional ML or visualizations on top of NET2GRID CI and API metrics data
  • Investigate how new AI technologies can improve value proposition or create user-friendly and interactive interfaces that make energy data more engaging and understandable

Who you are

Your role

  • Designing, testing and debugging of embedded systems – both hardware and software
  • Developing low-cost consumer gateways and meter interfaces from prototyping through to production and commercial deployment
  • You work in a team; together you oversee software from development to production

Who you are

  • Solid programming experience in C
  • Experience with programming microcontrollers (ARM Cortex, Xtensa)
  • Experience with variety of embedded operating systems (freeRTOS, Linux, openWRT, Yocto)
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering or Informatics (or similar)
  • Verifiable academic level of thinking and working
  • At least 2 years of relevant working experience is nice, but talented young academics are welcomed!
  • Experience with Git Version Control Systems
  • Hands-on software development experience
  • Communicative skills are key; you spar with many stakeholders
  • Fluency in English

Other requirements

  • Knowledge of wireless protocols (WLAN, ZigBee, BT, LoRa)
  • Knowledge of metering standards (Wireless M-bus, DLMS/Cosem, DMSR)
  • PCB Schematic capture and layout (preferably in Altium and/or KiCad)
  • Additional programming languages (shell scripts, Java, Python)
  • Hands-on soldering skills, PCB assembly/rework/repair
