Your role

You are a Backend Engineer who focuses on building highly scalable cloud and web services. You will primarily work on backend solutions, developing real-time services and large-scale data processing. You will master cutting-edge modern technologies such as AWS cloud services and develop using object-oriented languages like Python/Java/PHP/Golang.

Key responsibilities include:

  • You develop, test, and maintain microservices and RESTful APIs as part of a complex cloud infrastructure.
  • Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future.
  • Design and implement software based on solution requirements.
  • Use cutting-edge cloud technologies to build applications
  • Automate and Maintain CI/CD Pipelines.
  • Automate Performance and Load Testing.
  • You oversee software from development to production.

Who you are

  • You consider unit testing, code reviews, and continuous integration as essential elements of software development.
  • Have Computer Science or Engineering background.
  • Familiar with at least one cloud provider (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, DigitalOcean …).
  • Deep understanding of the Object-Oriented programming patterns and best practices.
  • Familiar with application frameworks (Symfony, Spring, Axon etc.). Experience with Linux.
  • You are a real team player but still able to work independently.
  • A motivated self-starter.
  • Very good English language skills (written and spoken).

Other requirements

  • Working experience with testing frameworks (JUnit, PHPUnit etc)
  • Container hosting and container orchestration (Docker).
  • You have experience with NoSQL databases, experience with DynamoDB is a plus.
  • Good working knowledge with SOAP/RESTful APIs design.

Your role

As an Energy Expert, you will work with our Analytics Team, creating state-of-the-art services in close cooperation with our product managers and R&D team. You are an electrical engineer passionate about valuable and meaningful energy services centered around customers. You have a proven ability to comprehend customer requirements and can translate those insights into intelligent and valuable solutions.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Based on your energy background, creating the functional requirements that will lead to meaningful energy products for complex real-life problems (e.g., an algorithm that detects Air conditioning end-uses or a Smart Charger for Electric Vehicles). This task includes (a) functional specification by analyzing relevant energy data, (b) a rough design/flow of the algorithm, (c) prototyping (if you feel like it), and (d) functionality/acceptance testing to ensure the quality of the implementation on every step.
  • Collaborating and co-supervising on various exciting projects our R & D Team runs. Our services are state-of-the-art since they focus on contemporary energy topics like solar panels, electric vehicles, Battery Energy Service Systems, Energy Disaggregation, Energy Insights, and many more.
  • You are responsible for the provided services quality. We have many customers around the globe that are testing and monitoring the quality of our services. You need to be on top of things and ensure that the services and products are top quality. If something goes wrong, you need to communicate this to our customers and make sure that it leads to an improvement over the services provided by NET2GRID.
  • Working in a team; you oversee energy services from development to production.
  • You innovate daily by creating products and intelligent solutions that unlock business opportunities for energy companies.

As a Software Engineer / DevOps Engineer, you will work on energy analytics services, creating state-of-the-art signal analysis software in close cooperation with our R & D team (mainly in Java, Python, and R). Your role

  • Designing, testing and debugging of embedded systems – both hardware and software
  • Developing low-cost consumer gateways and meter interfaces from prototyping through to production and commercial deployment
