The Project: As a Product Owner, you will be the driving force behind a massive
modernization challenge for a major wholesale supplier serving time-sensitive clients (e.g.,
supermarkets, HORECA, hospitals, etc.) across Europe.
The Mission: We are building from scratch a robust, modular e-commerce platform. While
the core is in place, we are now entering the critical phase of building modules and 3rd
party integrations. Since you will be working directly with our partners in the DACH
region, very good command of the German language is essential for success in this
role. Your mission is to bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution,
ensuring we deliver a next-generation solution that transforms the food wholesale
industry.

Responsibilities: Your Impact
As our Product Owner, you will own the “What” and the “Why” of the project. You will
play a key role in defining requirements, prioritizing features, and ensuring the delivery of
innovative digital solutions.
• Backlog Ownership: Manage and prioritize the product backlog, aligning features
with business goals and timelines.
• Requirements Engineering: Define clear user stories, use cases, and acceptance
criteria for new modules.
• Stakeholder Bridge: Work closely with international stakeholders and developers
to translate complex business needs into clear technical requirements.
• Agile Excellence: Validate deliverables through sprint reviews, demos, and
acceptance testing, serving as the primary liaison between users and the
development team.
• Strategic Roadmap: Look beyond the MVP. You will help shape the long-term
product roadmap and contribute to the digital transformation of the industry.
Requirements: What you bring
We are looking for a Product Owner who is a natural communicator and a dedicated
problem-solver.
• Experience: Proven professional experience as a Product Owner in software
development projects.
• Language Skills (Mandatory): Very good written and oral communication
skills in both German and English.
• Agile Mindset: Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban) and
the ability to apply them effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Analytical Thinking: The ability to translate vague business requirements into
precise technical specifications and manageable user stories.
• Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills; you act as the “bridge” and know how to
foster collaboration between diverse teams.
